Kondalilla National Park is a cool mountain retreat in the Blackall Ranges of the Sunshine Coast hinterland.
During the summer wet season, the park features one of Blackall Range's most spectacular waterfalls. From the top of Kondalilla Falls, Skene Creek drops 90m into a rainforest valley. Above the falls, tall open eucalypt forest mingles with rainforest species while drier forest of casuarinas and grass trees grow on the western escarpment.
A refuge for many species of native animals and plants, Kondalilla National Park is a popular place for birdwatchers and nature photographers as well as bushwalkers. Discover scenic views over the waterfall, and enjoy rock pools and freshwater creeks along the park's walking tracks. Relax in the day-use area, which is ideal for picnics and can be reached via a 50 metre downhill walk with steps from the carpark. Enjoy an easy 1.7 kilometre walk around the Picnic Creek circuit. For more of a challenge, take on the 4.6 kilometre Kondalilla Falls circuit or a section of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk.
