Cedar Glen is an incredible oasis located in the Scenic Rim at the foothills of Lamington National Park. This farmstay is a tranquil escape for both young and old.
Cedar Glen offers various animals that guests can feed and interact with as well as, swimming holes on the property, a peaceful walking track to take in the view, and lawn games to keep the kids entertained.
Guests can stay in the original 1901 Homestead or choose one of three historic cottages which have been renovated to maintain the rustic charm and authenticity of a bygone era. All buildings are surrounded by wide verandas perfect for soaking up the country views.
Cedar Glen Homestead
This is the original historic homestead built in 1901. It has large bed rooms with high ceilings and a large open high veranda with spectacular views of the surrounding property.
Four bedrooms, two bathrooms and two toilets. Beds consist of both double and single per room.
Minimum four guests, maximum 9 guests.
Cedar Glen Homestead
Cedar Glen is over 100 years old and is mostly in its original state providing guests a unique opportunity to experience a real sense of Australian country history. Built in 1901 from timber grown on the property, The Homestead had only ever been occupied by the Stephens family until we began using the house solely for Farmstay purposes in 2000. As was common at the turn of the 20th century, the old Queenslander style houses were built in two sections.
Stinson Cottage
Stinson Cottage is an historic workers cottage positioned with breathtaking views of the Lamington National Park, suitable for fully catered or self catering guests. There is accommodation for up to six people, fully equipped with cooking and eating facilities. There is wood combustion heating for the winter, and fans for the summer. Sheets and towels are provided.
Two bedrooms, one bathroom and a toilet. Beds consist of doubles, singles, and bunks.
Minimum two guests, maximum six guests.
Wallaby Cottage
Wallaby Cottage is a 1900s Cottage relocated to Cedar Glen. It is suitable for fully catered or self catering guests, being fully equipped with cooking and eating facilities. There is accommodation for up to seven people. There is wood combustion heating for the winter, and air-conditioning for the summer and winter. Sheets and towels are provided.
Two bedrooms, one bathroom and a toilet. Beds consist of doubles, singles and bunks.
Minimum two guests, maximum seven guests.
The Dairy Cottage
The Dairy Cottage is an historic original Cedar Glen building built for the Dairy managers. It is suitable for fully catered or self catered guests, being fully equipped with cooking and eating facilities. From the open verandah, guests can enjoy spectacular views of the farm and Lamington National Park. There is wood combustion heating for the winter, as well as air-conditioning for the summer and winter. All linen is supplied.
Four bedroom, one bathroom and two toilets. Beds consist of double, single and bunk.
Minimum four guests, maximum 11 guests.
The Homestead
Built in 1901 from timber grown on the property, The Homestead had only ever been occupied by the Stephens family until we began using the house solely for Farmstay purposes in 2000. As was common at the turn of the 20th century, the old Queenslander style houses were built in two sections. This is evident in Cedar Glen Homestead, where the front section is all living area, while the back section houses the kitchen, dining and lounge area.
