Surfers Paradise is no stranger to a highrise, but not all tall towers are created equal in these parts. A trip to the Q1 is non-negotiable - the building is one of the tallest residential buildings around the globe at just under 333 metres tall. Perched at its very top is the SkyPoint Observation Deck, bragging 360 degree views of the surrounding Gold Coast.
Though night owls may prefer to explore after sunset - Surfers Paradise has long boasted a reputation for its nightlife. Late-night entertainment prospers here, with the main drag Cavill Avenue and its surrounds home to some of the region’s most lively enterprises, from clubs to specialty bars. Grab a tipple with a view at The Island Rooftop, or revel in a night of indulgence at the likes of Hyde Paradiso among others.
Families are just as well catered to, we promise. Eager surfers will be tempted to try to ride the waves out front on the long sandy stretch nestling the skyscrapers. Accommodating beginners in particular, wannabe wave chasers can join one of the many surf schools which call Surfers Paradise home. Aside from its array of water sports, the region also offers a bevy of activities for the kids to enjoy, from Ripley’s Believe it or Not! Odditorium to an army of mini golf courses, and even a 7D Cinema.
