Relax and forget the pressures of life in a romantic holiday cottage at beautiful Mount Glorious, just 40 minutes from Brisbane. Close to the city yet a world away! Turkey's Nest is nestled in 15 acres of tranquil rainforest. Choose between the two cosy private cottages, each nestled among the trees on the edge of the forest, or a spacious private suite with forest views.

Mt Glorious is well named. Situated in the D'Aguilar Range 620 metres above sea level, Mount Glorious offers welcome relief from the summer heat. In winter, as mists waft through the rainforest, warm yourself by the fireplace, with a glass of wine, a good book, a selection of games and, of course, complimentary port and chocolates.

For wildlife enthusiasts, Mt Glorious offers the opportunity to see beautiful native wildlife up close. Relax on the veranda where a wide variety of native birds come to feed. In surrounding areas you may see pademelons (small wallabies), echidnas, or koalas.

There are numerous bush walks in the area, from short strolls to long hikes. Follow up with coffee at a local cafe, and then enhance the mood with a massage. How much more relaxing can it get?

Macadamia Suite

This self-contained studio/suite was completed August 2014.

The suite is both private and spacious, with entrance from, and access to, the house veranda.

There is a queen size bed, lounge, dining table and chairs, fire place and views to the rainforest. The private bathroom has a claw-foot bath looking out to the surrounding bush, and the kitchenette includes a bar fridge, microwave, two-burner cook top, electric fry pan, and tea and coffee making facilities, including an espresso coffee machine.

A Bluetooth speaker and an iPod docking station are provided, as well as a selection of books and games.

The Macadamia Suite is perfect for a romantic escape, a personal retreat, or a weekend of bush walking.

White Gum Cottage

A former forestry cottage, White Gum Cottage has a delightful rustic charm, combined with all the modern conveniences you would expect to make your stay comfortable. The cottage is fully self-contained, with two bedrooms (one queen and one double), well equipped kitchen, lounge, dining area and veranda.

From the main bedroom your view is through towering gums to the rainforest below. In summer the veranda is an ideal place to watch the wide variety of birds that inhabit the surrounding bush.

On chilly winter nights there is a cosy wood combustion heater, a stereo and range of CDs, a selection of books and games, and electric blankets. White Gum Cottage is perfect for a romantic escape, a personal retreat, or a family weekend of bushwalking.

Rose Gum Cottage

Nestled on the edge of the rainforest, Rose Gum Cottage, built in 2012, has a delightful rustic charm, combined with all the modern conveniences you would expect to make your stay comfortable.

The cottage has a cosy attic bedroom with queen bed, plus a day bed suitable for a young child. The bathroom has a large shower and a luxurious bath with views to the forest. The well equipped kitchen includes an expresso coffee machine, and the lounge and dining area open onto the veranda, which is an ideal place to watch the wide variety of birds that inhabit the surrounding bush.
