クイーンズランド州は、オーストラリアの2つの先住民文化に触れることができる世界で唯一の場所であることをご存じですか? 

自然とのつながりは、何千年も前からこの土地の知識を活かして暮らしてきた先住民族(Traditional Owners)の目を通して体感するのが一番です。踊り、芸術、伝統食を通じて、海外からの観光客に自らの文化を紹介することで、アボリジナルとトレス海峡諸島民は誇りを持って文化の継承と保護に取り組んでいます。ここでは観光客は単なる傍観者ではなく、参加者であることが求められています。

神聖な滝の霧に包まれ、伝統的なヒーリングトリートメントを体験し、心身ともにリラックスしてください。 

この土地での暮らし方を直接学び、沿岸に広がる手付かずの自然の中でブッシュタッカーの見つけ方を教えてもらいましょう。 ファインダイニングがお好きですか? では デインツリー・レインフォレストに向かい、ロウソクが灯されたテーブルで伝統的な料理に舌つづみを打ちながら、文化的なショーをお楽しみください。あるいは、ケアンズにある名高いレストランでグルメディナーを楽しみましょう。

伝統的な火おこしの儀式に参加し、アボリジニ神話のドリームタイムに耳を傾け、感動に浸るのもよいでしょう。

砂岩の洞窟で、長老たちが次世代への語り伝えに使用した古代のロックアートの重要性について理解を深めることができます。 

年齢を問わず気の若い方は、先住民族のガイドが案内するインタラクティブなツアーやワークショップに参加して、一緒にブーメランを投げたり、籠編みやダンスに挑戦したり、身体を動かしてさまざまな体験をすることもできます。
