Whether among resort-style comforts or camping on the beach, this is the place to recharge and reconnect with nature. Shorter on time? You'll find many ways to explore K'gari as an action-packed day trip.

Voyage south-east along the inland track to one of K'gari's most acclaimed natural wonders, Lake McKenzie. Lined with pure white sand filled with pristine emerald rainwater, enjoy a refreshing dip then lunch in one of the designated picnic grounds. Embrace the island's friendly atmosphere and discover Eli Creek’s enchanting boardwalk or float down its freshwater current. Grab your camera to capture the famed Maheno Shipwreck and stop to admire The Pinnacles’ coloured sands with vast dunes and natural sculptures.

Continue north to the spectacular Champagne Pools with their fizzy spray that collects into the glistening rockpools. Climb the cliffs at Indian Head to witness 360-degree views of ocean and rainforest, plus wildlife like manta rays, turtles and dolphins. If you’re visiting the island between August and October, wave to humpback whales and their playful calves, or join a whale watching cruise to experience these beautiful creatures up close.

From astonishing rainforests to pristine stretches of golden sand, this exceptional island will leave unforgettable memories in your heart.
