Aussie World launches Australia's tallest and fastest 360-degree pendulum swing ride

Adrenaline junkies, listen up: Australia's tallest and fastest 360-degree pendulum swing ride has launched at the much-loved Aussie World theme park on the Sunshine Coast.

While the Gold Coast may be famous for theme parks, the Sunshine Coast's offering has gone to the next level, with the heart-pumping swing the region's first-ever tier 1 thrill ride that reaches speeds of 80km per hour while launching 32 metres into the air and completing inversions up to 5Gs (a never-before-seen feature on this type of ride in all of Australia).

300 VIP tickets went on sale for thrill-seekers wanting to be amongst the first to ride the SX360 at the official opening event.

“We are excited to announce that the SX360 will be opening to guests just in time for the June school holidays... and will create a more diverse offering of rides and attractions at Aussie World,” said Aussie World Manager, Shannon Fay.

The SX360 joins Aussie World’s other thrill rides The Wasp, The Plunge and The Redback as the first new ride to open at the park since 2011.
