With credentials including postcard views, sensational local fare and coastal inspired cocktails, Burleigh Pavilion in Burleigh Heads represents the best of Queensland flavour in both food and feeling. Pull up a seat, this stylish restaurant and bar is ready to welcome you with your friends and family.
Here’s what to expect when visiting one of the Gold Coast’s hottest venues.
The gorgeous architecturally designed restaurant and bar caters for more than 600 diners through lunch and dinner between two distinct areas, so customers can choose between a casual bite after a day on the beach or a fine dining experience.
Sitting above pan-Asian classic Rick Shores is The Tropic, the full-service restaurant part of BP with Michelin-starred chef Guillaume Zika calling the shots. The chef and his team have created a local produce-filled menu with standouts being ocean king prawns malfada, salmon cavier donut, and lamb pappardelle. There’s a separate vegan menu too.
On the other side of the 'Pav', Burleigh Pavilion serves up a more casual experience, with menu staples like woodfire pizzas, prawns on ice and seared barramundi. Other dishes include grass fed rump and pumpkin rigatoni.
To help shake the sand from your feet, there are local DJs playing at the Pavilion from Thursday to Sunday.
Drinks at Burleigh Pavilion
For a casual post-beach drink, head into BP’s balcony for one of their signature refreshing frosés; from the taps order wine or local beer from their extensive offerings. For something fruity, go for an aptly named cocktail like the “Under the palms” with coconut rum and fresh lime. In The Tropic, sip on the “Lemon Blush” with lemoncello, frangelico and cinnamon sugar.
Conceived by hotelier Ben May and Robert Magid (the guys who brought to life the Manly Wharf Bar in Sydney and Mrs Sippy in Sydney and Bali) this pastel dream of a restaurant and bar is housed in the Coast’s most exclusive waterfront location.
They’ve transformed the façade into a traditional coastal pavilion with wide arches and textured concrete. Inside, the light and airy space is just as appealing with pops of pastels, four-metre high ceilings, exposed timber rafters, a breeze-block bar, an inclusive vibe and the piece de resistance – that unbeatable view.
Enjoy the best food and drink and relax to the Gold Coast soundtrack: a buzzing mix of a local DJ over the easy ocean waves, and discover just how much there is to love about Burleigh Pavilion.
Find it: 3/43 Goodwin Terrace, Burleigh Heads.
