UMI Arts is the home of authentic indigenous art in Cairns.

The leading Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts and cultural organisation for Far North Queensland, UMI Arts nurtures emerging and renowned artists and introduces their work to visitors and collectors through its art gallery and broad programme of events.

Visitors to Cairns will find diverse authentic pieces by the many Traditional Owners of their reef, rainforest and outback landscapes both in the Art Gallery and on the UMI Arts website.

UMI Arts proudly shares the stories of talented indigenous artists through visual arts and offers uniquely meaningful mementos of time spent in Cairns and Great Barrier Reef.

UMI Arts is the lead First Nations agent for arts and culture and is a member of the Indigenous Art Code with the mandate to authenticate artworks and products as genuinely produced by First Nation artists.
