The Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve is a wonderful place to take the kids for an adventure and is found one hour's drive north of Brisbane near the hinterland town of Maleny. There are several tranquil walking tracks, boardwalks and viewing platforms where you can soak up the natural beauty and read information about various species. There's also an education centre, café and a number of picnic tables that offer breathtaking views of the Glass House Mountains.

Return over same pathThe Rainforest Walk features just over two kilometres of tranquil walking tracks, boardwalks and viewing platforms that give you some of the best views the rainforest has to offer. You will find an abundance of diverse plant and animal life deep inside the lush subtropical rainforest. The walk follows a clearly marked path which features some boardwalks, bridges and seats. A large portion of the track has disabled facilities available.
