Bush Food Garden is primarily a bush tucker garden, with Australian plants being the most prominent feature in the garden.
Flowering plants are grown in the garden for colour to attract bees and beneficial insects and add nitrogen to the soil. Keeping with thier multi-cultural heritage, we have added some bush food trees and plants from other countries. Most of these will be familiar to people from South-East Asia and South America. Most plants and fruits grown here are edible, and no poisonous sprays are used.
So visit and explore. Smell the flowers and leaves, and taste the fruit, as you relax and enjoy paradise. There is a nursery onsite open for plant sales on Wednesdays and Fridays 8 to 4pm, Saturday 9 to 1pm.
Eftpos is available.
A large selection of native trees, fruit trees, herbs and nitrogen fixing plants are available. Also available are empty native bee boxes and Grow (organic fertilizer) re-fill station, and so much more. Prices start from $1.
