Childers Wine Trail

Drive past the lush rolling hills of fertile red dirt and cross the mighty Bruce Highway for a short scenic drive to Vintner's Secret Vineyard.

Take in beautiful views of the vineyard whilst enjoying afternoon tea made directly on site. Enjoy a walk through the delightful gardens featuring some locally made art installations. Let the kids roam in the play area made especially to delight the vineyards smaller visitors and also make friends with the resident pig.

This is the last stop for the day so take your time to soak up the country atmosphere with a French twist.

Starting at the southern end of Childers you will find Hill of Promise Winery on Mango Hill Drive situated only 4.5 kilometres south of Childers. Take a tour with the with the winemakers for a first-hand "grape to glass experience".

Once you have enjoyed all that Hill of Promise Winery offers it's time to head off to Ohana Winery and Exotic Fruits - only a 3 minute drive north, toward the township of Childers.

Head north from Hill of Promise Winery for a short drive to Ohana Winery and Exotic Fruits, located in Doolbi.

Here you can explore the exotic fruits plantation including fruits such as jaboticaba and pineapples amongst other various fruits. Enjoy tastings of the liqueurs made on site including delectable flavours such as strawberry, hibiscus and pineapple. You should plan to include lunch here at Ohana Winery and Exotic Fruits where you can enjoy platters of cheeses and meats as well as pulled pork nachos and tacos.

After lunch it's time to head to Brierley's Wines which will take you to the other side of the Bruce Highway and give you rolling lush hills and gorgeous country landscapes.

Venture off the Bruce Highway to Brierley Wines. On the drive to Brierley Wines you will enjoy lush country landscapes and rolling hills of red fertile dirt. This vineyard is nestled on a sandstone ridge with spectacular views of Kullogum State Forest.

Enjoy the country hospitality from your hosts, Tony and Sue Brierley. Take in the views of the vineyard (still so picturesque even out of grape growing season) whilst enjoying the tastings of the different wines available. A selection of gourmet cheese platters and homemade pizzas is also available by prior notice.

After taking a break here at Brierley Wines, it's time to hit the road again and head to Vintner's Secret Vineyard.
