This boutique heritage-themed accommodation is inspired by the style of the pioneer era and by the stagecoach journeys that linked Longreach with the outside world.

Situated in the heritage heart of town, you’ll be living and dreaming the outback story. There is a choice of room styles. All have ensuites, very comfortable beds, air-conditioning, TV and free Wi-Fi – plus clever pioneer-inspired features and lovingly crafted quirks that create an unforgettable sense of place. The Staging Post is owned and operated by the Kinnon family who have a reputation for creating unique accommodation that tells the outback story. It’s all a few steps from The Welcome Home where big breakfasts and outback dining provide fuel for your days of exploration.

The choice of room styles include The Stables, which feature a rustic-luxe style. The Stables take their inspiration from the stables where the Cobb & Co horse teams were cared for under the watchful eyes of the grooms. The Coach Inn, which is located behind The Welcome Home. The Coach Inn rooms are self-catering.

The Stables

These spacious, boutique rooms are ideal for people who appreciate a little extra luxury and the quirky inspiration of the stables where the Cobb & Co horses were housed. There are many little touches that will wow guests, from the unique copper-piped rain-shower to the barbed-wire-and-rose wall art to the milk-fridge in a repurposed cabinet.

Configuration: 1 queen bed and 1 single bed. There are also two Stables Family Rooms with 1 queen bed and 3 single beds.

Facilities: Feature ensuite, air-conditioning, TV, microwave, tea and coffee making facilities, free wifi, shared landscaped courtyard with seating.

The Coach Inn

These rooms are a comfortable and convenient choice with the added benefit of a fully self-catering kitchenette.

Configuration: 1 queen bed.
