With more and more independent businesses setting up shop the Coast, there’s never been a better time to support local and spend a day shopping on the Sunshine Coast.

Make a day (even a weekend) of it by visiting these hidden gems the locals love, and booking a table at your favourite Sunshine Coast restaurant; here are the best places for shopping on the Sunshine Coast. 

Peregian

Bohemian Sundays

Bohemian Sundays is home to some of the freshest threads and accessories on the Sunshine Coast. Fans of the quintessential boho look will fall for the store’s curated collection of everyday staples, colourful linen separates and flowing dresses from brands like Free People, Will and Bear, Arnhem, and Goddess of Babylon.

Sunshine Plaza

No Sunshine Coast shopping trip would be complete if we didn’t mention the Sunshine Plaza. Find all the big brands here, including Myer, Kmart and Target, to fashion and leisure retailers like Universal, Dissh, Country Road, Lorna Jane, Kikki K and Pandora.

If you’ve got little ones, keep them entertained by hiring a paddle boat and exploring the natural waterway that cuts through the centre of the complex. The Plaza also makes for a fun night out, starting with a bite to eat on the Riverwalk, shooting hoops at the game arcade, and topping it off with a movie at Event Cinemas.

Mudjimba

The Island Surf & Espresso 

Surfing, skating and coffee; The Island Surf & Espresso is one of the Sunshine Coast’s best neighbourhood cafés-slash-surf shop nestled in Mudjimba on the Sunshine Coast. Home to some choice surf, swim and skate apparel, inside you’ll find shark and shaka fins, toy figurine surfboarders and Globe cruisers lining the walls. While you’re there, pick up a coffee and a fresh pretzel. It’d be rude not to.
