Warm subtropical rainforest, tall open eucalypt forest and picturesque waterfalls in secluded areas of the Blackall Range feature on this 58 kilometre, four days Great Walk, with bush campsites along the route.
You'll enjoy walking past waterfalls, peering into gorges and resting near rock pools. There are some stunning views and wonderful lookouts along the way. Notice the plant communities around you and how they change from warm subtropical rainforest to tall open eucalypt forest; all protected in three beautiful national parks—Kondalilla, Mapleton Falls and Mapleton.
The Sunshine Coast Hinterland Great Walk's many access points offer different walking options. You can do the 58-kilometre long-distance walking staying overnight in the three remote, walkers' camps; or tackle a full-day walk staying in holiday house accommodation nearby, or take some shorter half-day walks within the Great Walk route.
If you plan to do the full walk, the three, small, remote walkers' camps along the Great Walk track will give you a fantastic camping-under-the-stars experience. You need to book your camping well ahead, up to 12 months in advance, for these walkers' camps.
