There's no better way to soak up the beauty of the Caloundra region than setting off on this scenic coastal walk. Take on the entire 25 kilometre stretch from Golden Beach in the south to Mooloolaba in the north or enjoy strolling along sections of the walk at a leisurely pace. If you're travelling with children, be sure to stop at the family-friendly Kings Beach where the kids can play in the water park or explore the rock pools.

Keep an eye out for birdlife and dolphins at the Pumicestone Passage. Check out the historical Military Jetty used for operations during World War II, as well as the heritage listed Kings Beach Bathing Pavillion constructed in 1937.

Currimundi to Warana

Stroll along Currimundi beach and let your dog off the leash for a run along the ocean between entrances 60 and 62. Continue towards Warana a long beach popular for beach fishing and surfing.

Warana to Point Cartwright

From Warana stop in for a swim at Kawana and then continue to Point Cartwright where you can enjoy the view of the ocean, lighthouse and possibly spot a migratory humpback whale!

Golden Beach to Bulcock Beach

Beautiful Golden Beach is where the Caloundra Coastal Walk begins. There you will find Pumicestone Passage, the long, peaceful stretch of calm water protected from the ocean by Bribie Island. Walk or cycle north along this scenic pathway towards Bulcock Beach.

Bulcock Beach to Kings Beach

The journey continues on to Bulcock Beach, a popular stop for families with young children. The coastal boardwalk will take you past the sparkling blue waters where you can have a swim before continuing past Kings Beach.

Kings Beach to Currimundi

The walk continues north, making its way around Caloundra Headland. Keep your eye out for the trail of plaques honouring the lives of those lost in the Second World War. Along the way you'll also pass the wreck of the SS Dicky that washed ashore on Dicky Beach in 1893 during a cyclone.
