As Queensland is Good To Go, there's plenty to explore in our beautiful backyard. While existing hotels, motels, holiday parks, campsites, resorts and retreats are all open and welcoming guests, there have also been some exciting recent newcomers to our accommodation offerings.

Belles on Ballow is Minjerribah's (North Stradbroke Island) newest waterfront holiday accommodation at Amity Point. Set over 1.5 acres of landscaped tropical gardens, there are four holiday bungalows (sleeping up to five guests and one pet-friendly option), and a soon-to-be-released holiday house (sleeping up to eight guests). Guests can enjoy the inground pool, private jetty, and communal waterfront Cabana bar area fronting the water.
Just a short walk from South Bank Parklands, Courtyard by Marriott Brisbane South Bank offers generously sized guest spaces, ranging from modern hotels rooms to super-size suites. There’s plenty to enjoy including a well-equipped fitness centre, an indoor heated pool, and its on-site restaurant with locally sourced produce in a relaxed and cosy environment.
Set to open on 22 February, the highly anticipated Hotel X (launched by InterContinental Hotels Group) is Fortitude Valley’s newest 5* hotel. The Hotel X experience is all about the unexpected, so you’ll find a modern aesthetic and custom furnishings, GHG and Dyson appliances in your suite, and a Mediterranean rooftop bar and restaurant coming in March, to name a few.
Just minutes away from the CBD, Gladstone has welcomed a new Mantra hotel set to impress. Formerly the Mercure Gladstone, the hotel has undergone several as part of the rebrand, including transforming 33 of its 60 guest rooms into spacious open plan self-contained apartments, a fitness centre, food and beverage options and a soon-to-open swimming pool.
To celebrate the launch, Mantra Gladstone is offering overnight stays from $120* per night in a hotel room and from $135* per night in a refurbishment apartment room (valid for sale and travel until 31 December 2021).
The Mysa Motel
The Mysa Motel (pronounced Mee-sa), has opened its doors as the Gold Coast’s first sustainable, boutique luxury motel, joining the slew of retro-themed motels in the region. Located in Palm Beach, the old Palm Trees Motel has been artfully refurbished into a seven-room oasis with major mid-century appeal.
Maintaining a quintessential motel vibe, the renovation features retro design cues such as breeze blocks, neon, vintage images of Gold Coast attractions, and salmon-pink fibreglass sun-lounger chairs, but sits firmly in the modern age thanks to a mineral magnesium pool, self-filtering taps in rooms, and solar power.
Having undergone an exciting transformation, Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort & Spa has recently opened as the first JW Marriott Resort in Australia. Surrounded by rainforest, the brand-new Lotus Belle tents at Cedar Creek Lodges (Thunderbird Park) take glamping to the next level. With a king-size Koala bed, an ensuite allowing you to shower under the stars, Rainforest Restaurant, and on-site activities including TreeTop Challenge high ropes course, you can enjoy a relaxing stay in style.
The newly refurbished safari tents at Binna Burra make camping easy, so you can spend more time enjoying the great outdoors. Perfect for families and multi-day hikers, these safari tents are staggered on the hillside and accommodate up to six people. They feature two single and two double beds and mattresses; private covered veranda with rainforest views; table and chairs; vinyl floors; lighting; two USB charging ports and access to communal fire pit facilities. You can even make use of their campsite amenities which include hot showers, barbecues and gas stovetops.
