Although the Sunshine Coast is known for its laid-back lifestyle, there's no reason you can't find thrill-seeking experiences, including Next Level – High Ropes Adventure Park.
Launched in November 2020 and located in the Sunshine Plaza in Maroochydore, visitors are invited to zipline along Australia’s highest ropes course through the centre of the shopping complex.
With four levels, seven circuits, 13 ziplines (between 30-130m long), and 145 aerial obstacles to explore, you can tailor your own adventure. The higher you climb, the more challenging it becomes. Guests can also access a 22-metre-high viewing platform with impressive 360-degree views of the Sunshine Coast.
The new ropes course is open seven days a week, with multiple sessions running through the day. Tickets start from $25 for six to 17 years old, $35 for 18 years plus, and $5 for the viewing platform.
Looking for more adrenaline on the Sunshine Coast? After a three-year hiatus, SEA LIFE’s Shark Dive Xtreme experience is back, inviting thrill-seekers to swim with nine different shark species including three huge grey nurse sharks, reef sharks and wobbegong sharks.
If you prefer to stay above water, Sunshine Coast Boardsports offers a unique Fliteboard experience, also known as electric foiling. Fly over Caloundra’s sparkling Pumicestone Passage and feel the speed and freedom of being propelled through the air.
