Get one of the best breakfasts on the Sunshine Coast just moments from Maroochydore beach. Hit The Milk Bar Coffee Co for your chai, kombucha or pressed juice fix, or fill up on one of their famous toasties. The menu might not be big, but taste factor and presentation is. With something for every breakfast eater at this quaint café, it’s a must on your Sunshine Coast to-do list.

Opposite Sunrise Beach, Chalet & Co’s all-day menu packs a punch for such a little space, with everything from their eggs benny to haloumi and sweet corn fritters. Those on the go will love their range of smoothies and juices—perfect for taking down to the sand to enjoy.

Hidden inside Noosa Junction’s Belmondos Organic Market (a local favourite for locally sourced and made wholefoods), make your breakfast count at VanillaFood. The entire menu is seasonal, organic and made in-house, with ingredients sourced from the local area—so you know you’re getting the real taste of the Sunshine Coast at this impressive breakfast haunt.
Our pick: This chalkboard menu changes regularly, but the sourdough crumpets with ricotta, poached eggs and garden pesto are a must-order when available.
Hand of Fatima’s menu does for breakfast what coffee does for mornings; it makes everything better. Spice up your morning routine with the delicate flavours of Middle East, pair it with great coffee and ocean breezes. Perched across the road from Peregian Beach, time your visit when the weekend markets are on—held on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of the month—for added atmosphere.

Two words: French crepes. The Velo Project’s delicious house-made crepes are famous at this Mooloolaba café, boasting one of the best breakfast menus on the Sunshine Coast. A wholly creative space on the coast, The Velo Project exists to support local farmers and producers, emphasising an honest (and delicious) paddock to plate ethos - and it's dog-friendly too.
Our pick: The decadent crispy bacon, banana and Canadian maple syrup crepe. Then pick up one of their OTT muffins on the way out.

A beautiful spot overlooking the sparkling waters of Moffat Beach in Caloundra, the seasonal menu here isn’t just about the local coffee beans. Easily one of the best breakfast spots on the Sunshine Coast, the creative dishes and killer weekly specials make this spot a cracker start for a day at the beach. Their picturesque courtyard featuring local artists’ murals and tropical plants isn’t half bad, either.
Our pick: Green shakshuka with sauteed kale and feta, or the okonomiyaki.

Serving up chilled vibes and healthy breakfast options in spades, the décor alone of this pretty little café makes breakfast a treat. Tuck into locally sourced produce next to one of Queensland’s most extroverted icons. What could be more Aussie than that?

Little Moffat Beach has a lot to love, and energetic cafe One Block Back has well and truly broken through being a local's secret - yet still offers plenty of local charm. Founded back in 2016, you can expect seasonally-inspired menus, excellent coffee, and even cocktails at this fully-licensed food hub, open 7 days a week from 7am-230pm.
Our pick: The all day menu will cure any cravings, from breakfast burgers and cinnamon french toast to bao buns and toasties.
At Homegrown in Palmwoods, it’s the kitchen’s on-site garden and house-roasted coffee that takes centre stage. Accompanying the house-grown fresh herbs and veggies are local staples like free-range eggs from Gympie and Australian-grown pomegranates. This hinterland honey is well worth the detour and be sure to pick up a bag of their roasted in-house coffee beans (Tin Shed Beans) to take home.
Our pick: Spicy beans with egg, coriander and goat’s cheese - or the french toast brioche with seasonal fruit.
