Jackson is a small town located between Miles and Roma on the Warrego Highway, approximately four hours drive from Brisbane. The small town is based on the rail industry and is home to Australia's largest onshore oil field.

An interesting sight in Jackson is the Old Play Shed, which is part of the original Jackson School Play Shed.
