Groper Creek, nestled in the Burdekin region just 17km from Home Hill, offers a serene escape from everyday life. Located near the mouth of the Burdekin River, Groper Creek is accessed via Groper Creek Road, passing sugarcane farms and a thriving wetlands teeming with birdlife and wildlife. The creek-side village is home to about 50 permanent residents and many weekend and holiday homes.

The charm of Groper Creek lies in its laid-back atmosphere, inviting visitors to unwind and enjoy the natural surroundings. Known for its fantastic fishing and crabbing, the area promises fantastic catches whether you're launching the boat from one of the two public boat ramps or casting a line off the jetty.
