One of the prettiest walking trails in Byfield State Forest - the Bowenia rainforest circuit offers you the chance to stroll among ancient cycads and tall turpentine trees and catch glimpses of Water Park Creek.

This 1.2-kilometre circuit begins at the Water Park Creek day-use area and will take you 30 minutes to complete. It's considered an easy grade 2 track.

Catch glimpses of Water Park Creek through small openings in tall turpentine forest and enjoy the cool rainforest that features the ancient fern-like cycad, Bowenia serrulata (Byfield fern).

Please Note: The Bowenia rainforest circuit is managed by the Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service. Please note that this map only shows an indicative start point for the walk. The track route and end point are not shown and this map cannot be used for navigation purposes.
