TOUR

Far North Sports Fishing and Nomad Sportfishing join forces to bring you the best blue water, inshore and estuary fishing charters in the world, by using the most modern techniques and industry leading equipment to provide a sportfishing edge. FNSF-NOMAD fish the very remote areas of the world’s largest, healthiest and most pristine marine ecosystem – the World Heritage listed Great Barrier Reef. We operate along the pristine coastline from Lizard Island up past Lockhart River, accessing the best reefs, islands and river systems of the north.

Three months in late Autumn and early winter are spent on the magnificent west coast of Cape York. Our comfortable mothership and her three fully customised centre consoles take advantage of seasonal weather and brilliant fishing to the south and north of Weipa.

Ultimate Adventure - Archer River

Our Ultimate Adventure charters are tailored to the angler with a taste for exploring very remote locations that are hardly visited, and offer world-class sport fishing in our Gulf of Carpentaria key spots.

The Archer, Love and Kirke Rivers are all part of a massive wetlands system in the surrounds of Aurukun some 100kms south of Weipa in the Gulf of Carpentaria. The fishing is consistent and can be outstanding, with most tidal ranges and moon phases offering distinct fishing possibilities. This is why FNSF-NOMAD travels over Cape York Peninsula for a handful of exclusive charters in these pristine and fish-filled rivers of the west coast.

You will fly by private charter from Cairns to the remote community of Aurukun and after a short 5 minute drive to the boat ramp, meet with our mothership, Blue Martini, and immediately begin fishing on the Archer River

Our Northern Exposure trip is a far reaching bluewater charter. Guests depart from Cairns via a private charter flight to Lizard Island before boarding our mothership, Blue Martini, and heading for the remote waters extending from the Flinders Group in the north to the Ribbon Reefs in the South. The standard of bluewater fishing here is unmatched. The lure of this charter is the abundant fish, variety of species and the untouched reefs.

Lagoon Explorer

The Lagoon Explorer trip gives you an amazing opportunity to visit a broad range of reef locations.

The areas available to fish from our departure point of Lizard Island cover more than 4000sq nautical miles of ocean and reef. That means each location within this zone gets minimal fishing pressure. We only visit each reef for a short period each year, keeping the fishing in an excellent condition at each location.

Lagoon Explorer trips fish areas such as Escape Reef and the Ribbons Reefs. We decide on the ideal location for each charter based on weather and fishing in the lead up to a trip's departure, and we ensure that you will be fishing the best possible location every time. We know where the fish are, and we know when to fish each area, therefore we will use our ability to move around in the mothership to ensure you have a fantastic trip
