Hartleys to Port Douglas: The Bump Track Adventure
Starting Point: Hartley’s Crocodile Farm (a visit beforehand is highly recommended!)
Route Overview:
Initial Climb: Begin your journey with a challenging ascent to the top of the escarpment via Hartley’s Falls for a refreshing swim, then leading onto Black Mountain Road.
Top Trail Section: Black Mountain Road is a scenic fire trail that winds through the rainforest beneath Black Mountain, eventually connecting to the Bump Track.
Bump Track Descent: Enjoy an exhilarating descent down the historic Bump Track, which leads into Port Douglas via the picturesque Mowbray Valley.
Ride Details:
Minimum Distance: Approximately 50 kilometers
Technical Difficulty: Easy to Intermediate (notably due to the steep descent on the Bump Track)

Nine Mile
Begin your journey along Nine Mile Track, a mix of smooth sections and challenging, rugged trails. You'll pedal through dense rainforests, with towering trees providing shade and a sense of seclusion. The sounds of nature accompany you, enhancing the feeling of being immersed in the wild.
Transition to the Bump Track
As you continue, the trail seamlessly merges with the historic Bump Track. This descent is both thrilling and demanding, requiring focus and skill. The Bump Track winds through lush rainforest, with occasional breaks in the canopy revealing glimpses of the valley below. The terrain here varies from packed dirt to loose gravel, keeping you on your toes and adding to the excitement.
Final Stretch to Port Douglas
The final stretch takes you through picturesque landscapes, leading you to the charming coastal town with its beaches and cafes
