Escape the city’s hustle and immerse yourself in a peaceful, hands-on journey at Green Thumb Farm in the beautiful Samford Valley.

Join them every Saturday morning for a 30-minute guided tour where you’ll discover how theyt use regenerative farming techniques to grow organic, seasonal produce while restoring soil health and biodiversity.

As you walk through the farm, you’ll see the five-bay compost system in action, learn about the role of native and honeybees in pollination, and explore different growing methods, including hugelkultur, raised beds, and in-ground gardens. Along the way, they’ll answer your questions and share practical tips to help you apply these principles in your own garden and kitchen.

This is a fun, family-friendly experience, and kids will love the interactive scavenger hunt as they explore the gardens!

After the tour, take time to wander through our Farmgate Market (8:00 – 11:00 a.m.), where you can pick up freshly harvested organic produce, artisan sourdough, and locally roasted coffee. Plus, as a tour participant, you’ll receive 25% off purchases from our nursery or a loaf of our handmade sourdough bread.

Green Thumb Farm is a community-driven, not-for-profit farm dedicated to growing food, sustainability, and composting. It welcomes visitors of all ages and abilities, including school children and people with disabilities, to learn hands-on skills in regenerative farming.

The Corporate Volunteering Day offers teams the chance to step away from the office, work together in a natural setting, and contribute to a healthier food system.

From 9:00 am to 12:30 pm, participants will help with garden maintenance, harvesting, planting, bed preparation, and seed sowing for school garden packs.

No prior experience is needed—just a willingness to learn, work, and connect with nature. A delicious morning tea is provided.
