Idyllically situated on Redlands Coast, take a short boat ride across Moreton Bay to one of the four inhabited Southern Moreton Bay Islands and relax away from the everyday hustle and bustle.
Start with morning coffee by the slipways in Redland Bay (Talwalpin) then catch a passenger or vehicular ferry to Russell (Canaipa), Macleay (Jencoomercha), Karragarra and Lamb (Ngudooroo) islands.
There, immerse in the natural playgrounds of these beautiful island gems. Wander through wetlands and conservation areas, browse local galleries, play barefoot bowls, enjoy a beachside barbecue, take a dip at one of the netted swimming enclosures and experience the bay lighting up in glorious colour as the sun sets over the water.
There are regular passenger and vehicle ferries from Redland Bay Marina. Sealink passenger services operate as part of the Translink network.
Taxis operate on Macleay and Russell Islands only.
Check with island clubs and accommodation providers for patron courtesy bus options while visiting the islands.
