Following on from their recent recognition at the 2021 Queensland Tourism Awards, some of Queensland's best experiences, attractions, operators, and events have taken out major prizes at the 2022 Qantas Australian Tourism Awards.

More than 700 tourism operators and guests gathered on Friday 18 March to recognise Australia’s top visitor experiences, as well as the resilience of our tourism industry through recent challenges.

Overall, Queensland tourism celebrated a jubilant night by accepting 15 accolades at this year’s national Awards as they competed with the country's best tourism products: six Gold, five Silver, and four Bronze.

A full list of winners can be found below, but a highlight was the recently upgraded Bundaberg Rum Distillery Visitor Experience walking away with top honours for a third time in Tourism Wineries, Distilleries & Breweries.

Having achieved a golden hat trick, the Distillery Experience was inducted into the Australian Tourism Awards Hall of Fame.

“The Awards are testament to the commitment and determination of our nation’s top tourism businesses, who, despite the difficulties of the past two years, consistently provide visitors with exceptional experiences," said Queensland Tourism Industry Council Cheif Executive Daniel Gschwind.
