The Amazing Race Australia kicks off in iconic Queensland destinations

With international travel off the agenda for the time being, for the first time The Amazing Race Australia has been filmed completely in Australia itself - kicking off on Monday right here in Queensland, through some of our most iconic destinations.

Luckily Queensland has multiple diverse landscapes to challenge the contestants – from beaches to deserts, rainforests to mountain ranges, and tropical climates to thunderous surf. 14 competitive teams will be criss-crossing the state taking part in heart-stopping challenges before they head to other states, all with the aim of winning a $250,000 prize.

The Daintree Rainforest, Outback Queensland, the Great Barrier Reef, our tropical islands, the Gold Coast, Brisbane – Queensland will truly be on show, with lots of inspiration for domestic holiday destinations.

Who needs jetlag, lost luggage and flight cancellations when you can experience the trip of a lifetime in your own backyard?

The Amazing Race Australia starts at 7.30pm, Monday February 1st on Channel 10.
