Free-flowing with rainbow-hued cocktails, top-shelf bubbles, flavour-packed meals and the greatest of vibes, boozy brunches in this idyllic corner of the state are pure fun factories set against golden beaches.

As the city counts down to the annual buzz of The Star Gold Coast Magic Millions Carnival, staged in Bundall and Surfers Paradise from 1 — 14 January 2025, brunch crowds are never more colourful. The time to claim a table (or several) amid the two-week party is now.

A stalwart in the liquor-laced feasting scene, Hyde Paradiso is conveniently located in Surfers Paradise, so trotting over to the Magic Millions Carnival is a cinch. The restaurant overlooks the ocean so sweeping views of the coastline set a glorious holiday scene — and that’s before the menu hits your table.

A two-hour Beachside Brunch, available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday between 12:00pm and 2:00pm, is splashed with the flavours of the Mediterranean so you can expect tapas plates such as charred chicken, pork belly and feat bites and spiced prawn rolls. Here for the hard stuff? Half a dozen Spritz varieties, Chandon bubbles (including the rosé), premium beer and wine and the potential to upgrade to Veuve Clicquot are all up for grabs. There’s also a spread of mocktails if your holiday itinerary requires strategic pacing. Priced at $110 per person.

Slide down the Gold Coast’s southern beaches and you’ll bump into The Tropic, which sizzles with salty air glamour. Positioned at the very southern end of Burleigh Beach in Burleigh Heads, the restaurant stages its version of a Mediterranean-inspired brunch on the last Saturday of every month.

Between 11:00am and 1:00pm, a live DJ spins the ultimate soundtrack to a steady stream of The Tropic’s famed puffed spiced bread, dips, ceviche, pasta and a sweet dessert. Choose your own hydration adventure as bottomless rosé, bellinis and Veuve Clicquot are all on offer. The two-hour food package is priced at $75 per person while the add-on drink packages start from $59 per person.    

Soul Sundays Brunch at Bazaar, Surfers Paradise

It’s one of the best Gold Coast restaurants, and the time to treat your tastebuds to the delights of Bazaar is at its Soul Sundays Brunch. Located within the QT Gold Coast, the regular bottomless brunch event invites guests to stock up at its buffet-style marketplace of international delicacies while non-stop gin cocktails do the rounds for two hours.

Each session kicks off at 11:30am, with final seatings at 1:00pm, and famished folk should be thoroughly sorted thanks to a spread of fresh seafood, gourmet pizzas, lavish desserts and the restaurant’s much-adored chocolate fountain. Priced at $79 per person, including the booze.     

Boozy Brunch at The Winey Cow, Main Beach

While it’s not beachfront, The Winey Cow’s Boozy Brunch attracts holidaymakers for its top-notch mid-morning menu. Practically a Main Beach rite of passage, the daily offering provides one of the city’s most affordable ways to get silly while ensuring stomachs remain deliciously lined.

Flying off the bar from 10:00am daily, bottomless mimosas arrive in the way of classic, cranberry and lime, and pineapple, passionfruit and lime blends. The $55 price tag also includes one main meal from the eatery’s diverse all-day menu, which spans comfort food like crispy fried chicken and waffles, breakfast superstars like bacon and egg rolls, and global favourites like lamb souvlaki.

It’s technically lunch, but we’re not ones to spoil the fun. Bottomless brunch reaches new heights at The Island’s Rooftop Graze, which runs from 11:30am to 3:30pm every Saturday. The Surfers Paradise accommodation venue is renowned for its languishing revelry, which reaches peak-party every Saturday night — so this event is the perfect prelude to a giddy weekend session, if that’s what you’re in town for.

A three-course menu that runs over two hours typically includes charcuterie favourites, small bites like arancini and wood-fired pizzas, presented alongside an arrival mimosa, wine or beer and ongoing cocktail and spritz jugs. Priced at $79 per person, including drinks.

Boozy Bottomless Brunch at Elk Espresso, Broadbeach

Follow the ocean breeze to Broadbeach where Elk Espresso, one of the best coffee destinations in the Surfers Paradise area, knows how to put smiles on dials. A one-hour bottomless brunch upgrade is on offer daily from 10:00am until 1:30pm, inviting guests to pair any main dish with their preferred mimosa.

Pick from the classic, the Strawberry Lime or the Tropical as pristine beach views colour your world from just over the road. The food menu is ever-evolving but you can expect fresh seasonal produce dressed in Instagram-friendly artistry no matter what you land on. The upgrade is priced at $49.
