Situated on the perimeter of the Caboolture Airfield, the Caboolture Warplane and Flight Heritage Museum is Queensland's only flying warbird museum where you can still fly in a warbird. It features a large range of aviation memorabilia from Australia's armed conflicts, which provides visitors with the opportunity to learn about the history of both military and civil aviation over the years. There are always a variety of lovingly restored warbirds hangared within the museum and these aircraft often can often be seen taking to the skies in the local area.

The museum is open seven days and included in the items on display are an Iroquis (Huey) helicopter and an F111 Crew Escape Module. Adventure flights are available in a warplane and flights extend to the Sunshine Coast, Moreton Bay and encompass the Glass House Mountains, Sandstone Point, the miles-long stretch of Bribie Island beaches and the Pumicestone Passage.

You can drop in for a daily personalised tour and leave an hour or so later with a lot of knowledge and history to share. On show are vital parts of Australia’s history, particularly aviation during the last century. You will be shown what their fathers and grandfathers experienced in building a proud tradition based on the highest standards of efficiency, expertise and courage.

Daily Tours at the Caboolture Warplane Museum

The Historical Museum has full guided tours available by the Museum's friendly volunteers, seven days a week from 9am to 3pm.

The Caboolture Warplane Museum is not just a collection of static displays but also dynamic displays with dynamic activities. Most of the warplanes on display actually fly.

The Museum currently houses the North American T-4 Texan, a Winjeel and Gipsy Moth. The Wirraway and T-28B Trojan are hangared nearby on the airfield by Warplanes Pty Ltd and are readily available for Adventure Flights and other static display events run by the Museum. These exhibits of Australian aviation heritage are also available for commemorative flypasts on ANZAC Day and other occasions.
